This is the list of all the Discworld novels, plus associated books and short stories. For Pratchett's other works, see the separate list of non-Discworld books. For books not written by Pratchett, see the list of books by other authors.
Discworld Novels
The main sequence of Discworld novels comprises the 41 books below.
Short Fiction
There are more Discworld-themed pieces of shorter writing; these will be added when covered by a podcast.
Other Discworld books
Some of these were not written by Terry, but those produced while he was alive had his stamp of approval. It would be weird to leave those out of this list!
Footnotes
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 A template using this abbreviation has been set up to make linking to this book easier. Type the acronym in braces, e.g. {{RM}} will produce Reaper Man. The shortcuts can also link to external articles by supplying a further parameter; for example {{RM|ls}} produces a link to the L-Space wiki article, like this: Reaper Man. (See Template:BookShortcut for more info.) Note that book shortcuts are given precedence to make sure they match the ones used on the L-Space wiki; see the list of Pratchett podcasts for how this affects podcast shortcuts.
- ↑ These are the traditional fan categorisations, which we prefer for this site. Sub-series appearing in this column in parentheses are debatable.
- ↑ The new 2022-2023 editions split the books into non-overlapping series that don't quite line up with the ones used by fans. (See the 50 Years of Terry page for details.)
