Snuff is the thirty-ninth Discworld novel, and the last to star Sam Vimes and the Ankh-Morpork City Watch, though it is mostly set outside Ankh-Morpork. This book properly introduces Discworld goblins and their unique culture, alluded to in Unseen Academicals. In the novel, Young Sam is obsessed with the book The World of Poo by Miss Felicity Beedle; this was published as a tie-in book the following year, written with the assistance of Bernard and Isobel Pearson.
