The Truth is the twenty-fifth Discworld book. It’s a standalone novel set in Ankh-Morpork and introduces a new cast of characters who start Ankh-Morpork’s first newspaper, The Ankh-Morpork Times. The characters William de Worde, Sacharissa Crisplock and Otto Chriek go on to make cameo appearances in many of the subsequent Discworld novels set in the city.

‘A lie can run round the world before the truth has got its boots on’

William de Worde is the accidental editor of the Discworld's first newspaper.

William just wants to get at THE TRUTH. Unfortunately, everyone else wants to get at William. And it's only the third edition...
