* The short fan film {{TBF}} is a very faithful adaptation produced in Australia by Snowgum Films. It stars Don Bridges as Cohen, Glenn Van Oosterom as the horse, John Jenkins as Mica, Troy Larkin as Beryl, Ruben Francis as Scree and narration by Phil Zachariah. After being successfully crowdfunded in 2011 (with Terry’s blessing), a short 16-minute version was first screened at the Australian film festival Flickerfest in January 2019. DVD and Blu-Ray versions containing the 28 minute full-length version, plus the “Bloody Stupid Johnson” version with more additional material, were available exclusively to backers of the project. (As a fan work, it cannot be otherwise sold.) The 28-minute version of the film is [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7v_TdLviUE available on YouTube], published there by Snowgum in January 2021. (Note that as the full version includes the names of all the crowdfunding backers in the credits, they take up approximately the last six minutes of the full-length film, accounting for a lot of the extended run-time over the festival version.) This version of the story includes a new prologue showing Cohen in his youth, which contains new dialogue written by Pratchett.
* The Spanish language podcast ''Relatos Salvajes'' (“Wild Tales”) adapted the story for audio in March 2024. We don’t think this was authorised, so we’ve not linked it here; it’s also not clear (to us) whether it’s a straight up reading of the story, or an adaptation with a lot of narration.

Adaptations

  • The short fan film Troll Bridge is a very faithful adaptation produced in Australia by Snowgum Films. (As a fan work, it cannot be otherwise sold.) The 28-minute version of the film is available on YouTube, published there by Snowgum in January 2021.
  • The Spanish language podcast Relatos Salvajes (“Wild Tales”) adapted the story for audio in March 2024. We don’t think this was authorised, so we’ve not linked it here; it’s also not clear (to us) whether it’s a straight up reading of the story, or an adaptation with a lot of narration.
