Stephen Baxter is an English science fiction author. He met Terry Pratchett in 1992 at a Arthur C Clarke event and the two became friends. In 2011, Pratchett asked him about his ideas in “The High Meggas”, leading to their collaboration on The Long Earth.

Books

Baxter co-wrote all five of the Long Earth novels, and also wrote a short story, "At the Core", set in the same universe.
