Sir Tony Robinson is an English actor, writer and presenter, best known for his television work: playing Baldrick in ‘'Blackadder, creating and starring in Maid Marian and Her Merry Men, telling children’s and mythological stories in programmes like Tales From Fat Tulip’s Garden and Odysseus: The Greatest Hero of Them All, and more recently as the host of long-running archaeological programme Time Team. To Discworld fans he’s best known as the long-time narrator of Corgi’s abridged audiobooks, and also for appearing in The Mob’s television adaptation of Hogfather.

Robinson narrated abridged audiobooks all of the Discworld novels for Corgi Audio between 1993 and 2015.

Robinson also read “Shaking Hands with Death”, Pratchett’s 2010 Richard Dimbleby lecture, as “Pratchett’s voice for tonight” when he was uncertain of being able to do so himself.
