			\| 1 \|\| 2026-05-13 \|\| “The Finale” \|\| Six months after leaving the bookshop, Aziraphale has prepared Heaven for a "nicer" Second Coming of Jesus Christ, which won't involve Armageddon. But before they can send Jesus down to Earth, the Metatron disappears, along with the Book of Life, the supposedly indestructible book in which all of Creation is recorded. As the archangels respond, Jesus escapes on his own to Earth to seek out Crowley for advice, whom he remembers from his last trip. Crowley is drunk, having once again failed to win his Bentley back from the gangster who cheated him out of it. He's now living in an alley behind Aziraphale's bookshop, which he watches over despite still being bitter about Aziraphale's return to Heaven. Crowley doesn't recognise Jesus when he finds him, and provides drunken advice that results in Jesus teaming up with the street hustler Harry the Fish.

			While Michael and Muriel search for the Book, Aziraphale descends to Earth to get Crowley's help in finding Jesus. Crowley doesn't want to see him, but Aziraphale wins back the Bentley, and he reluctantly agrees to help. Aziraphale and Muriel disguise themselves as demons to find out what Hell knows, which turns out to be very little aside from thinking another archangel has disappeared. They eventually discover that Michael has stolen the Book of Life, tearing the other angels' pages out to destroy them, and sending herself mad with knowledge of the future and other realities. Wanting to follow through on God's original plan, she uses the book to travel to the Eternal Flame at the centre of the Universe, and begins throwing pages into it - destroying all of Creation, bit by bit. Aziraphale and Crowley take the Bentley and fly through space to the Flame, site of one of their fateful meetings at the end of the War in Heaven. They fail to stop Michael from throwing most of the book into the Flame, and the Universe is destroyed just as Jesus starts to preach his new message of peace.

			Crowley manages to save the page for Wickham Street from the Flame, transporting him and Aziraphale to the bookshop - now all that's left of Creation. They reconcile and start to look for answers in the books, which are now blank. They are joined by Satan, which gives them inspiration to create a new Book of Life and write God into appearing. They challenge Her plan to end everything, and She asks them if they want her to put it all back as it was. After talking in private, they instead ask for a fairer Universe - one without God, or angels or demons...including the pair of them. She agrees, and creates a new Universe which resembles our own.

			13.8 billion years later, the human physicist Anthony Crowley meets Asa Fell in his bookshop. The two fall in love on a first date, surrounded by humans who resemble the other characters familiar from the original Universe. Years later, the pair are married and watching the stars in their backyard in the South Downs. Asa wonders if there's anything more than life on Earth; Anthony tells him he has everything he ever wanted.
